Then there were three...

Psychotic, Crazy, Out of our minds, mentally strange, insane, screwy...

Call us what you may...

But seriously...what are we thinking!

Our new little rottie still remains nameless, well apart from her nickname "midget dog".
She sure is cute though :)

Random Pics of the Week

Here is how the story went
(We went to CA Disney one last time before we got blocked out for the summer and wanted to go on the Rapids ride but of course being a HOT day the line was hours long)

Me: Hey Alisha let's go stand where all those kids are standing and maybe we can get cooled off
Alisha: OK but are you sure we won't get drenched?
Me: Ah no way...if anything our feet might get a little wet
(a few minutes later)
Me: OK I'm still hot...let's move closer!
So we inched our way closer and closer to the gate when this happened:
:this is us moving in closer:
and moments away from getting totally drenched!

So don't go standing in the lookout box unless your looking to get soaked!
But dang did it feel great acting like a kid again and we didn't even have to wait in line! LOL
Hmmm...I'm still not too sure what my sister is looking at...maybe there was something shiny up there :P

Some late Father's Day shots of Bryce opening some gifts

ooooh what's this??

Sweet! A new drill (see now he can go and make things for me :P)

I got to go to my friend Miranda's baby shower too. We used to live in the same apt. complex as them in Grand Terrace and now they live in Glendale. We miss them like crazy so it was so nice to see her :) She is the best and we can't wait to meet little Tanner!

P.S. Maui Sunsets Are Magical

I'm sure of it ;)

The Last of Maui (FINALLY)

Wow I haven't blogged in forever! Also a week really converts to forever in the bloggin realm. So I haven't been on the internet so much lately, and I blame it on the island hiatus. I just have not been in the mood to type or look up random things or load pictures or any of it. But on the good side it feels so nice to have dinner on the table on time, Melia gets her naps on time and my house stays clean. And then sometimes I just feel like "no one really would care about this anyways so why post?!" Blah what a rut :)

So FINALLY I can finish up our Hawaii trip and move on with what is been up with us lately. These first pics are from our kayaking/snorkling trip.

The little cove that we docked out of
Some fellow kayakers along with our Joel McHale look a like guide

First time kayaking in the ocean!

Our guide pulled up a little friend from the bottom

Bryce holding the icky little slimy thing. It tried to get away from him and when Bryce tried to catch it, it inked all over us...NICE!

We got to swim face to face with sea turtles which was so rediculously cool...too bad I had a crappy waterproof disposable point and shoot!

Having a blast

So I did get stung by a little jelly fish the size of a quarter on my upper arm LOL
I didn't take a picture of the wound but it hurt like you know what!

Stupid jellyfish

We went and visited the aquarium while we were in town. It was really small and we got done in about 45 minutes...lol we had planned on being there about half the day.

I told Bryce he needs to knock out a wall in our house and install one of these babies. Too cool!

What a stud :)

One of my favorite shots we took, this one we are going to blow up and frame in our room.

I have never seen a flowering banana tree before so I had to snap a pic of it, weird huh?

Bryce found a secret cave on the beach

Everything else is from the "Drive to Hana" where it's not about getting to the actual city but more about enjoying the ride up. The drive was kind of nuts, it was a crazy coastal highway that had one way streets and dozens of old and rotting teeny bridges and hundreds of turns and twists. It was quite the roller coaster ride! It was great besides the part when we almost got hit by a crazy local who decided it was easier to drive on the wrong side of the road...ugh!

But of course the road wasen't THAT crazy when I recorded it.
Figures!

Gray sand beach

We hiked up rocks for about a mile and got to a gorgeous waterfall...

...in which the only picture I got of it was with Bryce posing in his skiivees (LOL he would just DIE if he knew this was on here...so remember you didn't see it here :P)

Loved these flowers!

Inside the lava tube...hiking in flip flops lol

Inside the lava tube where it was pitch black

This is when I wish I had photoshop or something. I would love to take the hand rails out and make it look so much better! This was a shot as we came up out of the lava tube.

Maui Part Tres

Woo let's Luau everybody!

First you need a Hawaiian Barry Manilow to MC the eventCheck

Next we need a big fatty cooked pig
Check

Add some hula dancers who can shake it like nobody's business
and a fire-thrower

check and check

Of course you cannot forget the great food and drinks
(woo hoo we were getting crazy sipping our pineapple juice)

Whoa Bryce-man easy on the sauce :P

mingling with the natives :p

We had a great night at the luau. We ended up getting some VIP tickets which included free drinks in an air conditioned lounge before the show started, shell necklaces, front row seats and dibs on eating first. Oh and most importantly indoor bathrooms (everyone else had to use porta potties!) It was fortunate that we bought them too. As we were sitting there talking to our neighbors we discovered that we were sitting right next to Bryce's aunt's brother and his wife. So that would make him Bryce's uncle half removed?? Heck I don't know, I just know we are related :) How weird is that? We had never met them before and it was so crazy to be sitting right there in Maui of all places to meet them. It was so funny. It was a blast though, the pork and the Mahi Mahi were amazing and the entertainment was awesome.

Maui Part Dos

These pictures are from the Haleakala Crater. It was a super twisted and windey hour long drive up to the peak which was at 10,000 ft. It was so cool walking around above the clouds. The view was absolutely incredible.

This was inside of the crater

So high in the sky!

We also visited Iao Valley State Park. It was a completely lush garden of Eden I swear! It was about 85 degrees with about 80 percent humidity that day... but it was pretty cool as we were walking through the rain forest it started raining on us. It was warm rain but it cooled us off because we were sweating so much. There were a handful of crazy locals rocking out to Marley jumping off a cliff into one of the pools and we wanted to join them to cool ourselves off.

The Iao Needle

I feel a little Godzilla-ish in this picture (and klutzy me almost really DID fall in!!)
