Part Dos

Since Sunday was so crowded at Oak Glen, we decided to go back the next day to go sledding. It was clear, no crowds whatsoever! We even had the entire sledding hill to ourselves :) Melia is such a dare devil and wanted to go by herself right away. We built a snowman and then had breakfast up at Apple Annie's, our favorite little restaurant up there. It was a great morning!

Yum!

Making the snowman

I know lets make a little chinese man

This girl meant business when she was throwing snowballs

Getting ready for another run with dad

She could never make it back up the hill all the way, she'd get about half way and fall all the way back down again
I love that you can hear her giggling all the way down

Then flying off with mom...

and of course, all my herself :)

SNOW!

B-e-a-u tiful sunsets

We get them about this time every year and they are gorgeous. It makes me look forward to the end of the day just to snap another great pic.

Another reeeediculously late post...

Lots more Christmas pics, we had a great time with all our family. Even though it seemed like we were running from one house to the next, how blessed we are to be surrounded by those we love.

A post so late it's retarted...

I feel like slapping my own wrist for being such a bad blogger lately! I don't keep a journal or anything (although I think this counts!) so this is all I will have to look back on for years to come. What I mean is that it's the end of January and I am looking back at my Christmas photos realizing I never posted them! Yikes... so here they are, better late then never! Here is me playing catch up on the next three or four posts! :P

Here is our pathetic looking gingerbread house... yeeah time to work on my piping skills you think? lol but I've got no patience when it comes to these things. Melia had a blast eating (was supposed to be decorating) the house.

We had a night over at my dad and his new wife's home.

Melia got a magic wand and then had to turn everyone into a princess or a frog or a pig...

I just hope Janice realized what kind of family she married into... :)

You probably remember Melia's last performance... hehe
But this time she did her momma proud! She just did so good I could gush about her all day long :)

Knotts

Every year Knott's has a promotion where law enforcement, firefighters and military get in for free (score!) So since it's too ghetto to pay full price to get in (are we in south central?) we take advantage and go once a year. Unfortunatly we chose the day where it was the last day of the promotion and the last day of thier toys for tots drive where people could get in for a whole 15 buckaroo's. So just imagine the crowd...bah it was soooo bad! Im not much of a complainer but man! It was amazingly overcrowded. So we went on a couple rides but mostly you just go to eat right? I swear thats all we did. Kettle corn and funnel cakes and Jhonny Rockets, they made it all better :) We took a fun western picture that I am too lazy to scan in my computer right now too. It was fun for Melia, the girl's a mad thrill seeker thats for sure!

Just pretend those stains are photoshopped out, I swear it didn't smell though.
You gotta draw the line somewhere, right? :)

I thought Melia would freak on this coaster but she laughed hysterically the whole time!

I was the only one that could take her on the spinny rides, what a bunch of twenty-something wusses... can't even stomach a couple spins anymore, geez guys! he he

Waiting for our food at Jhonny Rockets...meh easy, only 2 hours! We had to keep this girl entertained... not so easy :)

Santa was there hooray! Melia LOVED every time we saw him, I think 4 times before Christmas.

Auntie was OK with taking Melia on the ferris wheel... Auntie was not OK with Melia trying to rock the car and taking off her seatbelt at the top while waiting to come down... :D

Fun Day!

First Ballet Performance

Here she is... all decked out in her tights and tutu, looking like a star!

Smile Melia!.... Well ok that'll work too

Melia with her friend Mallory

Ok here she goes, all ready to show her stuff! She is going to be the best dancer out of them all, I just know it!

Uhhhh... ok well maybe not! Hahaha! Maybe next time!

More Birthday Fun

We took Melia to Disneyland for her birthday, it was hardly crowded and the weather was cooler and it turned out to be the perfect day to go. We didn't get there until about 3 in the afternoon and stayed the latest we'd ever been before. We left only because it got SUPER cold around 10:30 ish. Melia had a great day and got to do everything she wanted. It will be a sad day in February when our passes expire. I'm not sure if we'll be able to renew them but hopefully!

We stopped at the Rainforest Cafe for dinner...

This girl was SO excited when she figured out they were singing Happy Birthday to her!

video

When we got off Haunted Mansion it was SNOWING :)

We had a FABULOUS time. We went on Tower of Terror and the Toy Story ride for the first time, they were really fun. It's been nice not having to pay for Melia, oh well :)
I also got to see Melia sit in Primary as a future Sunbeam on Sunday. It was so cute and I can;t wait to go from a class of 8 boys and 1 girl to 5 girls and 1 boy! How different that will be :) I think it's so sweet that I get to be her teacher! My little girl is growing up!

Hey there bright eyes!

Melia and her game face

I can't believe she is almost 3!

Black Friday...

What is so wrong with waking up every hour at night as if I were going to Disneyland, just to get up at 3:30 in the morning to run around like a mad woman in my jammies, fighting crowds, getting boxed in by shopping carts, swiping the LAST barbie jeep at Walmart, and finding the best deals of the century??? I see nothing wrong with that picture... let me tell you it was a whole lot of fun too!! My christmas shopping is finally complete so now I can concentrate on throwing this little girl a birthday party :) I am thankful for a to-do list that is slowly shrinking day by day... when I'm done with it I hope my prize is to get my sanity back.

A Haunting We Did Go...

Second star to the right and straight on till morning! Little Miss Melia is hopelessly obsessed with everything Tinkerbell right now. I had originally planned for her to be a pirate... but I guess the days of my making fashion decisions for her are completely over :p lol! We had a great time at a trunk or treat, and trick or treating in Redlands and Oak Glen... OK and seriously we have waaay to much candy up in here! Hope everyones was as great as ours!!

I've reached a quarter of a century!!

**3 new posts! Check them out :)

My birthday was FANTASTIC! We celebrated all the way from Thursday to Saturday. We ate at Mimi's with my dad and little bro, went to the Cheesecake Factory where I ate a zillion million calories of cheese-cakey goodness and it was so worth it :) And on Saturday we had dinner at the comedy club in Irvine where we saw a FUNNY laugh out loud comedian. Holy heck I've never laughed so hard in my entire life! Of course my batteries died in my camera at the Cheesecake Factory and then I left it in the car when we were in Irvine uggggh! Thanks Shirie for taking pics!

Align CenterMy Birthday cheesecake...red velvet and white chocolate OH MY!

All the girl's

Thanks lover for a great birthday!

The funny man of the night, Chris Hardwick (did Singled out on MTV in the 90's and does Attack of the Show on G4... oh yeah and Otis the cow's voice on Back to the Barnyard)

This last pic is for you Grandma B.! It still makes me laugh... I wanted to see if you could catch it!

Needs Glasses!!!

Align CenterThat's right...

Align Centerthis cute little girl is far-sighted! I wouldn't have known it but for the last year or so her right eye slightly crosses when she is looking directly at things right in front of her face...poor little thing! So the glasses will hopefully correct it. The ophthalmologist said most kids that have that grow out of it by their early teens. So this is her waiting patiently in the waiting room, texting all her friends in China. She had to get her eyes dilated again, 2nd time this year! That is no pleasant experience... do you think little kids like a zillion drops in their eyes?! Oh no, no they don't. So thankfully Bryce's work has open enrollment this month so we can hop her on our vision plan!

Last Weekend

We went up to Oak Glen with our GREAT friends Miranda and Steve and their so-cute-you-wanna-scqueeze-his-cheeks baby Tanner. I had never gone on a weekend before and yikes was that place crowded! It was really fun, Melia got to ride a pony for the first time, which surprised because the weekend before she refused to do it at the pumpkin patch! Anyways it was so cute and she really had a good time.
The perfect ending to any day at Oak Glen is OF COURSE finish off with crumb apple pie...a la mode...oh come on, like there's any other way! :) But we also didn't want to wait 2 hours to get one so we went to less crowded Rileys Ranch and had dessert colonial style at thier resturaunt. This is where I had my first sassparilla...I know I probably butchard that spelling but think of the best rootbeer ever made and then a little better.
We then wanted the apple cider donuts (haha I know the feeding frenzy is NEVER over!) from Snowline but they ran out... sooo we went and got them two days later hahaha. SO good!
